Dear Women in Business Network Members and Friends,

Please be sure the upcoming Women in Business mixer being held on September from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Alta Vista Manor is on your calendar!  Come, enjoy, network, and invite new friends to learn about our network. We’ll have our new brochures, updated directory, serve delicious treats and drinks, show a WIBN slide show, draw for door prizes, plus …

This a special occasion to socialize with each other (something we rarely have time for at our monthly meetings). The mixer is also a fun opportunity to share more about your services! Here’s how:

  • Practice your 30 second elevator speech with new friends (and old!)
  • Bring your cards, brochures, flyers to set out
  • Donate a prize — gift certificate or business sample representing your business — for our drawing, on that note…

Would you like to give a prize for our drawing? If so, please email what you would like to donate to marajen@awakentolife.net or call me at 926-0070. If you want, include a short written blurb about your business and what you are donating. We’ll read it and acknowledge your business contribution during the drawing.

Committee Members Needed: Upcoming Events & Projects

COMMITTEES NOW FORMING FOR UPCOMING EVENTS & SOCIAL PROJECTS:

There are several exciting events and projects coming up soon, the success of which depends upon all of us coming together and offering our interest, time and resources:

  • WIBN SCHOLARSHIP PROJECT:
    Connie Marmet is available to head up this project; a committee needs to be formed soon to solidify goals and make this happen.  If you have an interest serving on the scholarhship committee, please send an email to womeninbusinessnetwork@gmail.com
  • WIBN MIXER:
    Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 is the date and time of our first mixer of 2010.  A chairperson and planning committee is needed soon.  If you have ideas for creating a successful mixer, or would like to help, please send an email to womeninbusinessnetwork@gmail.com
  • FALL EXPO – Oct. 16: Expo Shot
    A co-chairperson and volunteers to assist Jessica, who is willing to help plan & delegate tasks as much as possible.  Please contact Jessica directly at myagent@realtorjessicamurr.com
  • NEW MEMBER INCENTIVE PROGRAM:
    We are planning to give out tickets to members who bring guests who become new members and have a drawing for a great prize.  Sandra Landes is heading this program and she would welcome some assistance.  In order to create a wonderful gift basket, we also need merchandise and gift certificates from current members.  Please contact Sandra Landes at 530-926-2075 if you are interested in joining this committee.
