Dear members … Spring is here and every thing is changing and blooming!
Women In Business Network is officially a Non-Profit Organization and we have already given our the first grants. Congratulations again to Tara Melo of A Melo Place for receiving the award of $300.00 which will help offset some of her Marketing costs. Kelly Samuelson and Sandy Patterson both received a free Membership to the Mount Shasta Chamber of Commerce, $145.00 each. Great job ladies for applying and following thru! It is a small beginning, but it is a beginning and I will be working to raise enough funds to bring the grants to several thousands of dollars with Fund raisers and other events. As a non profit now we can also apply for grants that are available for Women in Business.
April ended with a Mixer. It was a great party! Every body enjoyed sharing their time with others and we now have three new members. Thank you to Atara Melo, Lesa Michel and Marguerite Lorimer for bringing the new guests. They will each receive a ticket for each guest who becomes a member The tickets will be accumulated toward a drawing that will take place every three months. So bring as many guests as you can and enjoy the opportunity of winning great prizes!
I wish to express my gratitude to Rebecca Maze for opening the Woodsman to us and having everything prepared for the party. The roses were beautiful and she donated a $300.00 gift certificate to one night of luxury. A great package. We had several prizes and everybody enjoyed the great food and company. I also wish to thank Rebecca for allowing us to use the Woodsman for our monthly membership meetings and for offering coffee and muffins. It was all her donation! Thank you again Rebecca!
Now I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our May meeting! As you have been informed, the location has changed. We now meet at the Mount Shasta Resort on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30. Please come a little earlier so you can be all set with your coffee, tea or breakfast order and we can start punctually at 8:30. You will be introduced to the new Board Officers and Committees Chairwomen. The program will also include a presentation from one of our members who is the executive of a bank in Mount Shasta. She will explain the benefits of being a customer of this particular bank.
