BIG Summer Opportunity for WIBN Members:

Each weekend this summer you have the opportunity to have a vendor booth in downtown Mount Shasta to present your products and services to the general public.

This is the best location, centrally located at the corner of Lake Street and Mt Shasta Blvd, at the Shambhala Center.   The exposure for you is literally the best of the best. You will have access to the daily downtown traffic as well as all the tourists and out of town people drawn to the area for recreation and spirituality. Last summer there were 20,000 people for the Fourth of July Weekend.

WIBN Chairwoman, Matilde de Franchis-Unruh has graciously made available her canopy for the weekends. WIBN members can share the booth to keep their costs down.

If you want to explore this possibility, BESTVendorReservationForm that has the forms to complete along with details.

Also look at The Best of Mt Shasta Festivals website for more information.

Time for the world know who you are and what you offer!

Best Regards,  Andrée Morgana

Health Insurance Follow-up:

At our March Meeting, Elizabeth Mitchell-Collord, Executive Director of the Community Health Plan of the Siskiyous, mentioned a website that detailed what medical expenses were allowable and which were not under new health care provisions Many WIBN members both provide and use alternative health services. IRS Publication 502 which can be accessed at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502 contains detailed information about allowable and non-allowable expenses.  The index which starts on page 31 is helpful in finding specific items.  Note that there are other requirements affecting whether medical expenses quality for insurance and tax purposes that require consultation with insurance and/or tax specialists.

Information on the various health insurance plans available to small businesses can be found by calling the Community Health Plans of the Siskiyous at 926-1300.
